Travel Tips:
A passport is required to enter through immigrations/customs in the Bahamas and the US.
US currency is accepted everywhere. Visa, Master Card & American Express are accepted in some restaurants, shops - just be sure to ask first.
Items you should bring with you: fishing gear, beach towels, sunscreen, and a good book!
There are stores on the island that carry a small cache of food, beer, liquor, batteries, etc... but if you have special food items (steaks, seasonal produce, specialty cooking items) that you will want to enjoy while there, bring them from the States. Be sure to check with customs if taking a commercial flight as to what you may or not be able to bring.
